What to expect when visiting

Since the first visit to a church can be a little intimidating we have put together some helpful information for you. We hope this will answer most questions about our church and how we do things in our service. If you have any questions when you visit, please don't hesitate to ask.

Getting Situated

Once you have checked out the map as to how to get here you will find plenty of parking either in the upper lot or the lower lot which is around to the right of the church. Handicap parking is available on the left side of the upper parking lot. The upper level is wheelchair accessible. Coat racks when they are needed are to the left around the corner from the front entrance in the Narthex (or lobby). Greeters are at the door to welcome you and ushers will give you bulletin, answer your questions and help you find a seat if necessary.

What should I wear

Since God didn't specify required clothing for church, we don't either. You will see people in anything from a suit or dress to a tee shirt and jeans. As long as it is modest, wear what you feel comfortable in. We will welcome you.

What about the offering?

After the sermon the offering plate will be sent around. This is a time for the regular members to give to support the outreach and other work of the church from what they have received. We don't require visitors to donate but you are welcome to if you feel that you want to.

What about the service?

As you go into the Sanctuary, the ushers will give you a bulletin which has the order of the service in it along with other information as to what else is going on in the church.

What about Communion?

Everyone who has been baptized is welcome to receive Communion. The ushers will direct when each row should go up via the side aisles. There are small tables with the Communion cups as you come up. Line up around the altar and the pastor will give you the bread and then someone will follow with the wine. Grape juice is available if that is your preference. We also have Gluten-Free wafers for those that need it, just inform the ushers before the service. After that return by the center aisle and as you go there will be another plate on a small table to set down your used cup.

If there are any changes the pastor will announce it before Communion starts.

If you are unable to come up to the altar, please notify the ushers and we will be happy to serve you.
